310 Civil Defence personnel train on firearms

Three hundred and ten personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) have been trained in Cross River State on how to handle firearms.

Commandant of the NSCDC in the state, Dr. Benito Eze, disclosed this weekend at the 13 Brigade of the Nigerian Army in Calabar during the passing out parade of the men.

The NSDC personnel were trained for one month on stripling and assembling of AK47 and other ammunitions, firing of life ammunitions, check point patrols and basic principles of internal security among others.  

Eze added that some of its personnel were also trained on counter terrorism attacks at the Nigerian Army training school centre in Niger State.
