Federal Character Commission Boss Applauds NSCDC for Compliance.


        Recently, the Acting Chairman of the Federal Character Commission Honorable Lawal Ibrahim Funtua gave a pass mark to the Management of Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps for being one of the best rated agencies for complying with Federal Character principles in terms of employment and in the area of quota system distribution.

       He made this known during his premier courtesy visit to the Corps Headquarters accompanied by his newly constituted team to personally appreciate the Corps for the distribution of Management Staff and always adhering to the Federal Character rules.

He said the relationship the Commission has with the Corps is to be appreciated and he encouraged the Commandant General and his administration team for a work well done, offering an increased and enduring partnership.

In turn the Commandant General Dr. Ade Abolurin stated that the rising culture of synergy among government agencies ear marked by the present government’s transformation agenda assures the sustainability of the relationship and cooperation.

he further said that the Corps is to learn from its  elders due to the fact that it is just coming on board.

“The present challenges and problems associated with employment in Nigeria are long standing so cannot be expected to be solved overnight. However the Corps has arrested over 500 recruitment scammers who were subsequently handed over to ICPC, EFCC, and other services as a starting point.”

In the same vein, Engr. UcheDiogu, the Chairman in charge of Defence reiterated the Commissions commitment in working hand in hand with the Corps in order to achieve the desired result.

The Corps, according to him, has come to stay judging from her performances and achievements under the present leadership and to sustain the tempo, all hands must be on deck.

The Corps Chief Executive reechoed the existing harmonious relationship between the two bodies and assures of a continuous relationship.
