Jigawa State Commandant

BIOGRAPHY OF MUHAMMAD ABDU DURUMIN-IYA JIGAWA STATE COMMANDANT

  • Muhammad Abdu Durumin-Iya: Was born on March 16, 1962, in Durumin-Iya Quarters, Kano Municipal, Kano State. He attended Shahuci Primary School by the year 1968 and proceed to Lautai Government Secondary School, Gumel by the year 1980 and went to School of Preliminary Studies on 1982 from there   he gained an admission into Bayero University School Kano (B.U.K) where he obtained his Bachelor of Art by the year 1986. He was a lecturer at Federal College of Education Kano (F.C.E) from 1987 to 2005 as Lecturer Grade II and later he joined the service of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps on December 12, 2005 with the rank of Assistant Commandant of Corps. After joining the service, he also attended a course of Arm handling at Nigeria Prison College, Kaduna and National Intelligence Agency (NIA), Abuja. He also went to Pretoria South Africa for Study tour.

The Commandant served in various commands which include Kano, Kwara, Lagos, Sauka Academic, Ebonyi, Adamawa and now serving in Jigawa State Command.
