The Nigerian securityand Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, it had in the last six months arrested over 140oil thieves in Cross River State.
The state NSCDCCommandant, Dr. Benito Eze, disclosed this while speaking in an interview withjournalists in Calabar, the state capital.
Eze said the commandhad also impounded nine tankers fully loaded with petroleum products, 14 kombibuses and six cars which the oil thieves used to convey the products.
The commandantexpressed surprise that bunkering had been on the increase though there was nopipeline in the state.
