Following the trend of vandalism of critical infrastructure of government which has slowed down the pace of development, NSCDC is set to partner with the Niger Delta Power Holding Company to arrest the situation.
This was made known during the courtesy visit of the Managing Director and Chief Executive of the company Mr. James Olotu to the Office of the Commandant General NSCDC at the Corps Headquaters, Abuja.
According to Olotu the essence of the visit is to seek collaboration with Civil Defence in the protection of PHCN equipment and power plants across the nation. That decision to engage the NSCDC was informed by the high level of commitment and dedication to service especially regarding the Corps tremendous achievement in checkmating vandalism in Nigeria, emphasizing that only a blind man will claim ignorance of the efforts of NSCDC in safeguarding the oil sector.
