NSCDC PASS OUT 100 PERSONNEL ON SURVEILLANCE, INTELLIGENCE GATHERING

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, has passed out above 100 of its Superintendents cadre officers on surveillance, peace and conflict resolution as well as intelligence gathering. 

The Provost of the Civil Defence College of Security Management Commandant Elesin Adekunle Dauda disclosed this on Friday during the passing out parade of another batch of 100 superintendent cadre officers of NSCDC that had been on re-training course in the college located around Ogun State government secretariat, Abeokuta  for the pass one month.

Elesin pointed out that the re-training programmes was in fulfillment of the provisions of the corps (Amendment) Act of 2007 which mandates the corps for the purpose of efficiently carrying  out the functions set out in the Act, organize training and re-training courses for its personnel in order to efficiently provide intelligence information to the Ministry on any matter relating to crime control, riot , disorder, revolt , strike or religious unrest as well as subversive activity by members of the public aimed at frustrating any government programme , policy or vandalizing critical infrastructures.

 The provost stressed that the just completed re-training course for those set of officers is just the beginning and little from the modalities put in place to achieve the mission statement of the corps which was formed to ensure the safety of lives and properties of Nigerians and other countries national, residing within the country
