UPDATE ON THE ACHIEVEMENTS RECORDED SO FAR IN RIVERS STATE COMMAND

The State Commandant has lived up to her expectation in recording laudable land marks in fulfillment of the Corps Mandate and the vow she made on assumption of duty in Rivers State Command some months ago. This has in no doubt attracted recognition of corporate bodies and notable media agencies locally and nationally.

In the area of securing the nation’s pipelines and checkmating the activities of oil thieves, the Corps under the leadership of Helen Amakiri has been able to secure 10 convictions in the area of Vandalism of oil pipelines and bunkering within the shortest time frame of her assumption as the substantive State Commandant of the NSCDC Rivers State Command.

Mrs Helen Amakiri has been able to display true sense of leadership in command and control of personnel within her control. The various heads of Department and Units has been up and doing ensuring true sense of responsibility in discharge of duty. She ensured the Corps feature regularly in live program where the activities of the corps were regularly showcased to create more awareness in the state. This has endeared the corps in the heart of the civil populace. As a result of this the corps has gained more recognition and more private and corporate bodies in the oil business have indicated utmost interest in engaging the activity of the NSCDC Anti vandal team. This also came with its challenges especially in the area of accommodation but the Commandant has been working round the clock to solve this inevitable challenge.

Owning to her laudable track records, the State Commandant has won so many Awards. For instance after she was recently awarded the Best Commandant of the Year, 2015, by the Southern Nigeria Ethnic Nationalities Security Merit Award of Excellence, she also bagged a Fellow, Institute of Corporate Administration 2015 and as if that was not enough she was also given a Golden Award for Excellence where she was distinguished for Excellent Commitment to National Security, Honesty, Fighting Illegal Bunkering and Community Development by ‘The Publishers of Print Journalism News’. Amakiri Helen has always proven to be an Icon and a force to be recorded with when it comes to doggedness to duty and none compromise as far as integrity in service delivery is concerned. As lover of work and astute leader with kind heart, she has a good sense of judgment and hates gossips. She loves working with everybody, no exception.
