On 26th July, 2013 at about 15:30hrs the attention of officers on surveillance was drawn by a crowd of people gathered near Late Sheik Kamaldeen house at Okekere area in Ilorin West Local Government Area.
On advancing nearer to the scene our men discovered that the crowd was as a result of one man named Bashiru suspected to have kidnapped 3 young girls whose names are
- Halimat Sa’ad 9yrs
- Halimat Abdulrahamat 10yrs
- Mariam Bashiru 6yrs
The suspect was then arrested and interrogated.
The suspect was seen in possession of bread and soya beans cake suspected to be used in enticing the children to follow him.
The parents of the children who were invited denied any knowledge of the suspect.
The suspect is deemed to be charged to court and prosecuted soon.
