BIOGRAPHY OF ANAMBRA STATE COMMAND

Commandant J.I Ahwen had his early education in his state of origin, Benue state and later proceeded to Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Kaduna State where he bagged his Honours in Law and Logic in 1991. He was called to bar after his law school at Nigerian law School, Lagos, in 1992. He had his masters of arts in security strategy and admin from Nigerian Defence Academy Kaduna.

He was enlisted into the corps in 2005 and had his basic officers training at prisons Training School Enugu. He had his first posting as head of operations in Ogun state command in 2006, in 2007 he was moved to NHQS to head the legal unit and counter terrorism depts. In 2014, he was deployed to Bayelsa State command as Commandant Nigeria Energy Security Commission (NESEC). After a period of nine months he was recalled to National Headquarters’ as commandant Counter terrorism in 2015. A position he held till his posting as Commandant Anambra State command in 2016. He is happily married with children.
