Department of PGC, NSCDC Gombe State command passed out 165 personnel of private guard company in Gombe State

The department of Private Guard Companies of Nigeria Security Civil Defence Corps Gombe State Command recently passed out 165 personnel of licensed Private Guard Companies that presented themselves for training.

An occasion which was well attended at Pantami Township Stadium, Gombe by many dignitaries especially the representative of His Excellency, the Executive Governor of Gombe State, Hon Mijinyawa Labaran Sani, the Commissioner of youth and poverty Eradication as the special guest of honor Commended the State Command for Rising up to the challenge of ensuring that Private Guards are well trained to enhance their capacity in service delivery. He reiterated government commitment to “continue to give support to NSCDC and including all security organizations in the discharge of this important responsibility. “

He equally called on “the various Companies to ensure that applicants are well screened before engaging them into the organization to prevent criminal events and notorious bad eggs from infiltrating the Companies.”

Also, the Head of Private Guard Companies in NSCDC Gombe State Command in his address DCC Raymond Lumsam said over 40 Companies that exist in Gombe State only 24 are duly licensed to operate and are members of approved Association of licensed Private Security Practitioners of Nigeria (ALPSN).

It is against this backdrop he warned illegal operators of Private Security in the State to stop or face full wrath of the law, and the general public must as a matter of fact desist from patronizing their service especially now the north-east of Nigeria is facing security challenges.
