Jigawa State command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defense Corps (NSCDC) has smashed a gang of suspected drug dealers in Hadejia City.

The breakthrough was made when the officers and men of the command raided Hausawa along River valley in Hadeji, and apprehended hard drug addicts and ring leaders.

The Commandant of the command, Dr. Muhammad Gidado, stated that those arrested were Bsiru Maigari of Wunti Quarters, 30 years; Yusif Tijjani, 25, of Gagulamari and Alhaji Abdu, 28, of Atafi Quarters, all in Hadejia City.

According to the statement, they confessed committing the crime diuring investigation, stressing, “they will soon be transferred to NDLEA when the investigation is over. In a related development ,the command has also arrested one of the most wanted theif, hard drug dealer, supplier, distributor, and addictive, Abubakar Abdullahi, 30 years old of Kofar Quarters of Birniwa town, Jigawa State.

According to Gidado, the suspect was arrested and charged to court of law for theft contrary to section 287 of the penal code law of Jigawa State and punishable under the same section. He stated that Magistrate Aminu Dahiru of Chief Magistrater Court 2 Dutse found him guilty and remanded him in prison custody till tomorrow for judgement.
