NSCDC Trains 150 Private Guards in Jigawa

The Jigawa command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) on Thursday said it had commenced the training of 150 private guards.

The State Commandant, Mr Muhammad Gidado told the News men in Dutse that the training, which began on May 5, would last for two weeks.

Gidado said that participants were drawn from three Private Guards Companies (PGCs) operating in the state, namely Halogen Security, Kings Guards and Prudent Security.

He explained that 50 participants were drawn from each of the three selected PGCs.

The commandant explained that the guards would be exposed to modern approach to intelligence information gathering and surveillance, as well as how to maintain interpersonal relationship, among others.

According to him, the training is part of the NSCDC’s capacity building programme to enhance the activities of the PGCs operating in the state, in view of the security challenges in the country.

He said the command would ensure that all personnel of the 32 PGCs operating in the state, benefitted from similar training
