Ekiti command of nscdc finalises armed officers

Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps Ekiti State Command has finalised her armed training by showing the inhabitant of the state that they are up to the task ahead of them at the shooting range camp owned by 32 defence artillery Brigade Owena Barracks Akure.

The training which was sponsored by the state command and was supervised by the Nigerian Army Owena Barracks Akure had instructors drawn from the battalion ,other top army officers in attendance with highly spirited officers waiting to display what they know how to do best.

The training which took place at Iju/Itaogbolu witnessed a lot of drills before the shooting exercise which lasted for about 12hours with precise and cautions that showed the level of compliance with fire arms handling by the civil defence officers.

At the end of the training, the state commandant Augustine Obiekwe thanked the commanding officer of the 32 brigade colonel SH Aduku for his effort to impact needed knowledge on the officers and urged him not to relent in his effort to train and retrain civil defence officers in the state anytime the command call upon the Army to train her officers.

In his remark, colonel Aduku thanked the state command for his effort to make training paramount in his command and urged him to continue to partner Nigerian Army for needed training which he said was needed to gear up the zeal in the civil defence officers to propel them to face the daunting task ahead of them.

The commandant Augustine Obiekwe was later presented with the result of the exercise which had about 200 0fficers that met the needed precise and accuracy of 100% while others perform brilliantly well above 87%.

The trainees numbering about 700 conducted themselves well which called for awards of excellence from the state command.
